In a historic display of cross-cultural unity and academic celebration, His Majesty Sultan Zulkarnain Mastura Kudarat VI, the 26th Supreme Sultan of Maguindanao, graced the 15th Annual Convocation of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) as Chief Guest. The momentous occasion celebrated the academic achievements of thousands of graduates, including scholars supported by We Care for Humanity (WCH), the humanitarian arm of the Sultanate.

His Majesty’s presence added a touch of royal grandeur to the ceremony, bridging the rich heritage of the Philippines with the academic excellence of India. The Sultan was joined by a powerful and impressive high-level delegation, including:

  • Bai Salima Mastura, Princess of the Sultanate of Maguindanao and President of the Royal Ladies of Maguindanao.

  • Bai Ali Sansaluna Karon, Bai sa Kudarangan sa Rajah Buayan and Member of Parliament for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

A Message of Heritage and Resilience In a stirring Keynote Address, His Majesty bridged the gap between ancient tradition and the modern era of Artificial Intelligence. Drawing upon the 500-year history of the Sultanate and the resilience of his ancestor, Sultan Kudarat, he urged the Class of 2025 not to view tradition as the opposite of progress.

"Your culture is not your baggage; it is your anchor," the Sultan proclaimed to the graduating class. "When you walk out of these doors today, you will compete with the brightest minds from New York to Tokyo. What will make you stand out... is your identity. Do not trade your culture for a paycheck. Use your tradition as the foundation upon which you build your modern success."

Strengthening Global Partnerships The Sultan paid tribute to the visionaries of JAIN University, offering his deepest gratitude to Mr. Roychand, Chairman of the JAIN Group, for being a "true partner" of We Care for Humanity.

"Mr. Roychand, your support bridges the gap between education and human kindness, and for that, the Sultanate is grateful," His Majesty stated.

He also extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Easwaran Iyer and Dr. Santosh Kumar Chaudhary on their recent Knighthoods, recognizing their close collaboration with his sister, Queen Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura, Founder of We Care for Humanity. He noted that their work represents a "testament to the power of global brotherhood."

A Call for "Leaders Who Care" Addressing the challenges of a fragile world, from climate crisis to inequality, the Supreme Sultan of Maguindanao challenged the graduates to redefine nobility.

"True power is not in the crown you wear, but in the service you provide," he said. "Be the leaders who innovate, yes. Be the leaders who make money, yes. But more importantly, be the leaders who care."

He concluded with an invitation for the new graduates to support the plight of indigenous peoples and the Sultanate, urging them to partner with organizations like We Care for Humanity to build schools, water systems, and "bridges of peace."

Sultanate of Magindanaw Issues Urgent Call for Global Ceasefire to Prevent World War; Addresses Emergency Online Peace Forum Initiated by We Care for Humanity

MINDANAO, PHILIPPINES – June 17, 2025
– In a momentous address during an Emergency Online Peace Forum held today, His Majesty Sultan Abdulaziz Zulkarnain Mastura Kudarat VI, Sultan of Magindanaw, Mandanaue Darussalam, issued a powerful and unequivocal call for an immediate end to ongoing conflicts, demanding a global ceasefire to avert a potential Third World War. The forum, a critical initiative by Maha Putri Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura, Queen of the Royal House of Luzon Maharlika and beloved Bai Mompong sa Magindanaw, brought together voices united for peace.

His Majesty Sultan Abdulaziz Zulkarnain Mastura Kudarat VI, representing the ancient Sultanate of Magindanaw Mindanao Darussalam, called for the immediate cessation of hostilities between the warring countries of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State of Israel.

"In the name of humanity and global peace, the Sultanate of Magindanaw strongly demands to End the War Now and Sign a Global Ceasefire Now!" stated His Majesty Sultan Abdulaziz Zulkarnain Mastura Kudarat VI. He further urged the State of Israel and the Government of the Palestinian Authority (under Hamas) "to immediately come into terms and sign a permanent ceasefire agreement to restore peace and rebuild lives in Occupied Palestinian Territory." This includes the crucial implementation of the January 19, 2025 ceasefire agreement, brokered by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar, which outlined provisions for humanitarian aid, hostage exchange, Israeli withdrawal, and Gaza's reconstruction.

The Sultan's statement culminated in a strong appeal to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) "to immediately convene and pass a Resolution calling for permanent ceasefire agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State of Israel so that a third World War will be prevented, innocent lives will be saved and protected from this tragedy, and ultimately rebuild the devastated cities and economies for the safety and well-being of warring countries and the world in general."

The Emergency Online Peace Forum, initiated by Queen Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura through We Care for Humanity, provided a vital platform for global leaders and advocates to converge and amplify this urgent message. The collective outcry from the forum highlighted the shared belief that "no political dispute justifies the loss of human life," emphasizing the irreplaceable value of humanity.
